Time.

Finite.

Where in the world does it go?

Recently I was corresponding with a mom who was dreaming of hitting the road with her family. I was sharing some of my favorite homeschooling curriculums, how we transitioned from Sticks and Bricks to a home on wheels, etc. Typing in our blog link to show her what we have been up to, I realized neither Eric or I had written in ages! Yikes!

Each season I tell myself I am taking 2 hours a week to sit at a coffee shop and keep up on our blog. Clearly that hasn’t happened. However, it doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying some great coffee. With my handsome hubby, with my awesome kiddos, with wonderful friends new and old. I relish searching out the best coffee shop in town – whatever town we are in. Or whichever town we are passing through! When they have Gluten Free and Vegan treats it’s an even greater delight!

You may notice that when we share our experiences and give ideas from the places we’ve been, it typically revolves around coffee and food. =)

Want to know the best place to hike? Which museums are most kid friendly? How involved the Jr Ranger program is? Don’t ask us, we were out sampling vegan gelato. 😉

We have been in a season of rotating our location every few months, rather than the every few weeks, and we are working on short little trips to get that itch to travel scratched while we sit for a bit.

Thankfully we are SPOILED right now to be in the Northwest. In an area surrounded by mountains, trees, water, and PLENTY of great food and coffee options. =)

It’s amazing where one can go and what one can see just a short drive from where they are. It’s not necessary to ‘sell it all’ and live the tiny, roaming lifestyle we’ve chosen in order to delve into your sense of adventure.

I bet many of you could take a compass and draw a 100 mile circle from your location and find a myriad of things to do. That was certainly one of our goals this past summer!

We made a list of all the things we wanted to do last time we were in the area and didn’t to ensure we could check those off ! We also made a list of all the places we wanted to frequent again.

What’s on your ‘I wanna’ list? I keep a list of places we drive by, but don’t have time to stop, places of historical significance I’d like to see with my own eyes, places others have said we simply MUST see. It is an ever growing list, but I appreciate that we have a reference. I will never lack for ideas on a ‘Let’s Go See’ or a ‘Sunday drive’ (that we typically take on Tuesday).

What’s on your ‘Let’s GO See’ List? Is it drivable?

What’s your one thing you love when you travel? Tiny spoons? National Monuments? Roadside Cafe’s?

Please Share! There’s always room on my ‘places to visit’ list. =)

  1. I also have a very long list, but at the top would definitely be the PNW. Every year we say we are going, and every year something brings us back to the east.
Currently we have a list on IG and on Google Maps, which really needs to be organized a bit better. We are at a campground that I marked on one and I have no idea why, until I saw fluffy rabbits hanging out last night. 😆
Any ways, sage travels friends and hope to see you soon. ❤️
